The Dark Maiden (The Rising of Liliu)

Written by D.L. Siluk

Be beautiful, O morning Maiden
Feet of gold, breast of rubies and peals
In thy abyss demons wait to greet thy sight?
Liliu, for the lust of conquest, do thou rise!
The dark maiden, with a savage steel bite
A bestial heritage, as old as hearts my be
She builds her nest, like a dragon by thee.
Her eyes like owls, blinded in crimson lust
They call her Liliu, from the fiendlike gulf;
She has long talons and flanked owls
This underworld dark, demonic being:
Now rising, rising, to greet the demons
Half incubus, she rises towards the stars
To prey upon children and women alike
And appears to men in their erotic plights;
She was born from the winds and storms
She has no course, just a deadly scorpion!
